At the beginning of the spring term in 2026, our colleague will go on parental leave. Therefore, we are looking for a licensed preschool teacher who wants to substitute for us during the year 2026 with a chance for extension.

Kyrkängen Preschool is run by Söndrum-Vapnö parish. Kyrkängen has an inspiring environment where children are encouraged to believe in their own abilities and are given the opportunity to develop lifelong learning. The premises are spacious, and there is a wonderful outdoor environment for children to play and develop in.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed preschool teacher.
• Is well-versed in preschool regulations and can implement the curriculum's goals in practical work.
• Is responsible, communicative, and secure in your professional role.
• Has good collaboration skills and enjoys working in a team.
• Has good ICT skills.
• Has the ability to meet children, colleagues, and guardians with joy, enthusiasm, and commitment.
• Is flexible and solution-focused.

About the position:

As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for leading the work with planning, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation. Together with other educators, you will develop the activities and create a safe, fun, and educational preschool.

In addition to teaching in the children's group, the job includes working with pedagogical documentation and allowing systematic quality work to permeate the work. Ability to create safe, learning, and inclusive learning environments.

The position includes participating in family services occasionally each term. It is desirable that you are a member of the Church of Sweden and share its values.

The position is a fixed-term employment at 100%. Working hours are during the day and some evenings with workplace meetings/training.

Start date by agreement, but no later than April 1. A criminal record extract must be presented before employment.
